Estate Officer


Position Purpose:

Estate Officer will manage and maintain NSU land and estate records, including registration, mutation, tax, and survey matters. The role involves coordinating land procurement, liaising with government authorities, contractors, legal representatives, and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. The Estate Officer will also support infrastructure planning, resolve land-related issues, and represent the university in relevant legal matters to safeguard its property interests.

 

Key Responsibility:

 

The Estate Officer reports to Project Director. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and maintain the university’s estate including all land documents related to registration, mutation, tax and survey.
  • Coordinate all NSU land procurement activities, including liaison with seller, non-incumbrancer verification at relevant land offices, registration, mutation, and taxes.
  • Maintain updated records of land deeds, leases, maps, and other property-related documents.
  • Liaise with government authorities, contractors, and local service providers on estate-related matters.
  • Represent NSU for any land related litigation, with close interaction with representing lawyers and other legal personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, environmental, and safety regulations.
  • Assist in planning, development, and expansion of future infrastructure projects.
  • Any other responsibilities assigned by the Authority.

Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university with preferably a LLB degree specializing in real estate.

 

Skill & Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of practical experience in estate management, property administration. Experience  ex-employees of  government land department are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in handling land records, property-related legal matters, and government liaison work will be preferred.
  • Experience in resolving land related issues, and litigation will be preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Bangla (both written and spoken).

Age : Not exceeding 45 years.

 

Salary: NSU policy (Negotiable)
